Terri Hargrove - Owner/Teacher
RYT-500, Reiki Practitioner, & Sound Healing

Terri Hargrove, a Fort Smith resident of more than 15 years, fulfilled her vision of opening her own community-minded yoga studio on July 1st, 2015. Terri first fell in love with yoga in 2010, she then began her journey of becoming a yoga instructor in January 2012. She attended Sivananda yoga teacher training in the Bahamas where she received her first 200 Hour RYT Yoga Alliance Certification. In November 2014, Terri completed her second 200 Hour RYT training at Yandara in Baja, Mexico where she later returned for an additional 300 Hour RYT in the December of 2018. Terri saw a need for a deeper understanding of offering yoga to parts of her community where trauma is common. She found the Veteran's Yoga Project and took and additional 15 hours Mindful Yoga for Trauma Recovery in Asheville, NC.in April of 2017. She offers trauma-informed yoga classes and meditation at Gateway and Harbor House which are both local drug and rehab facilities. During her more than 8 years of instructing, Terri has taught yoga classes all over the community. She believes that yoga should be available for EVERYBODY.
She is deeply tied to her community and works to give back in any way she can - currently she chooses a charity each month to donate a portion of class fees along with a weekly donation based yoga class to raise awareness and funds for the monthly charity. She loves that her path allows her the opportunity to help people feel more connected to themselves and their community.

Cyndi Smith
RYT 200, Reiki Practitioner, Chakra Therapeutics Practitioner

My first experience with yoga came in the form of a beautiful soul that I did not know (now mates for life) walking up to me while camping at a music festival, placing her hand on my back, looking at me with the most truthful loving eyes and saying, your holding your breath, let me help you breathe. My life has never been the same since then. Thank you Terri!
I attend a few yoga classes at the park and Yogaterrium without any type of dedication. Then I was then blessed again via invitation to attend a weekend of yoga, meditation, Reiki at Mt. Sequoyah and witness the final weekend for 1st class of students becoming teachers of YTT 200 hour program with Terri and Crystal through Powered by Heart. I found my “tribe” this weekend & immediately signed up for the next YTT class.
Since that weekend I completed my YTT program (and my “tribe” grew larger and stronger) with Terri and Crystal through Powered by Heart & registered thru Yoga Alliance as RYT-200. Along the journey of becoming a yoga teacher I also obtain Reiki Level III & Chakra Therapeutics Practitioner.
I look forward to seeing you on & off the mat through Yoga, Meditation, Reiki & Chakra sessions all offered at Yogaterrium via scheduled classes and private sessions.

Kellie Lindsey
RYT-200

Kellie is a mother, a musician, a full-time business student at UAFS, and an Arbonne District Manager. She moved to Fort Smith from her home state of Mississippi, where she began her yoga practice over ten years ago. Three years ago, after deepening her passion for yoga through its wellspring of literature, she decided to begin her practice seriously in her own home. Her consistent dedication to a personal practice sparked her desire to share yoga as an instructor because of the massive transformation she underwent both mentally and physically. This meant that she was to bring her practice into a public setting, which was terrifying to her at first. Despite her fears, she listened to her calling and completed the RYT 200 Yoga Alliance certification through Powered By Heart. Kellie truly believes that yoga should be accessible to everyone, regardless of age, gender, or physical ability. Because of this, she plans to continue her yoga education by receiving a RPYT certification to offer certified prenatal classes in the River Valley. Her classes will range in styles, and you can expect her to gracefully challenge you at your edge. Yoga met Kellie where she was, and she’s eager to help it meet you where you are!
Sara Galbach

I love to paint and create art and I love yoga. Over the last one year of teaching I’ve been learning to combine the two. I do not, who does, love the mundane of everyday life. Practicing yoga energizes me allowing a break from the exhaustion of the daily grind and an overthinking mind.
My approach to your yoga experience could be very individualized for you. I provide a safe and supported environment focused and playful. Beginning with the basics of foundation and then going beyond adding to the pose, meeting you where you are and growing from there. Listening to the happenings of the times as well as our bodies to create intentions during our practices focusing on acceptance, gratitude and joy. Using the elements, outer space, the weather, seasons, holidays as a class intention. I also focus on specific areas or organs of the body for your yoga practice providing toning and rejuvenation. I often speak of and encourage mindfulness.
Talk about the ups and downs, I have diabetes. Newly diagnosed an age 40, but I don’t let diabetes define who I am. Applying the yoga lifestyle has improved my wellbeing and health over the past three years of learning to navigate type-one diabetes. I’ve had struggles and recovered from addiction to big pharma and alcohol abuse; physical disease, multiple major surgeries and injuries, and a broken heart. The yoga community has been here for me over the past ten plus years. I have a desire to pay that energy forward with teaching yoga.
In addition to being an artist I enjoy leisurely kayak time and hikes with my husband and working outside in the flower garden. I enjoy being a housewife and I am a dog mom with two cats. My hunger for knowledge lately has been strong. I completed my 200 YTT in 2019 with RYS Powered By Heart Yin Yang Style Yoga. I have future plans of adding on to my training with a 300hour YTT and I’m the process of a Yoga Alliance Approved 85-hour Postnatal Teacher Training to be completed by December 2020.
Future goals for me, certificate short course in nutrition and physically I have a new curiosity for the asana/yoga pose of Adho Mukha Vrksasana. That’s is Hand Stand! I’m very grateful that yoga shined light on my darkness I had been living in. My astrological sign is Libra and I was told my whole life growing up be balanced. Yoga has taught me that there may be no such thing. And That’s OKAY life could be more about the constant act of finding the balancing. Join me on your yoga journey to gentle style class, yin, with a challenging, yang, work out. Find me on the schedule at Yogaterrium. I also offer private sessions.

Jana Aydelott-Leeper
RYT-500

Yoga has been a part of Jana’s life for nearly a decade, and has helped her overcome two serious spinal injuries, and the trauma of a life threatening experience while on active duty military. Jana has benefited greatly from practicing yoga during multiple pregnancies and throughout the postpartum period.
Jana’s classes are taught in a nonjudgmental and welcoming style. Her classes are focused on quality movement, joint health, and overall increased well-being. Classes are accessible for beginners while still providing a challenge for each individual student. A brief section of positive philosophy is included during class, but it is never dogmatic and completely optional.
Jana’s classes implement the ancient wisdom of yoga philosophy in a simple and understandable format. The practices used in classes are rooted in the original tradition, but are geared toward modern understanding, biomechanics, and physiology. Props and modified postures ensure each student feels confident and comfortable, no matter where they are physically.

Jan Freeman

Jan has been practicing yoga off and in since the 1970's. While living in Johnson City, TN in 2004, her interest in teaching started after a weekend intensive with Todd Norian at the Asheville Yoga Center. After moving to Roanoke, VA in 2005, Jan became certified in Body Flow by Less Mills, and started teaching yoga and Pilates. Then after relocating to Corpus Christi, TX she was able to receive her 200 hour RYT with Christina Sell through the Yoga Studio of Corpus Christi in 2009.
Since returning to Fort Smith after a 21 year absence, Jan is excited and grateful to be a part of the growing and evolving yoga community here in the River Valley. She loves teaching all levels and styles of yoga, including Yin, vinyasa and Restorative. |
Chloe' Mims
RYT-200

Chloe’ Mims recently transplanted to Fort Smith in spring 2018 and was more than delighted to find a like minded yoga community, who think the benefits of yoga can and should be accessible to all.
Chloe’ happened into her first yoga class, as a collegiate golfer looking for exercise more suited to flexibility and balance. Though, it wasn’t until eight years later and walking into an Intro to Ashtanga class at Cherry Blossom Yoga in Houston, TX that she fell in love with more than the physical practice and found a love in all eight limbs of yoga. Wanting to share with all not only the physical, but mental, emotional, and spiritual benefits she experienced in the safest and most encouraging ways, she began her teaching journey in February 2017 with Ally Ford Yoga, an Ashtanga based teacher training in Shreveport, LA. In September 2017, Chloe’ was issued her 200 RYT Yoga Alliance Certification. She couldn’t be more excited to share her practice and passion with you.
